Stresa Festival 2007 - Gianandrea Noseda PDF Print E-mail

There is always a reason for a title: sometimes it is exquisitely musical, in other cases it expresses a necessity.
The general title of this 46th edition of the Festival, 'Tales from dream to reality', has been chosen in response to a need of mine that can easily be shared.
Today there is a general lack of narrators, namely those capable of telling stories, events, fables and emotions. At the same time we are missing listeners capable of being emotionally stirred and awakened.
Everything is quick, we often communicate using slogans, clichés: there is no time to interact, to narrate; too many stories are left untold. Music can help us reclaim our time not only to look, but to see; not only to hear, but to listen.
Music is a beautiful story to be told, but it needs to be narrated appropriately: with appeal, charisma, sense of mistery, surprise and astonishment.
The artiststs collaborating with our Festival this year have in common one fundamental characteristic: they are keen narrators, capable of dreaming and of letting their imagination run free. They will lead us with them, through music towards worlds never immagined, helping us to live fully, with more positive energy and optimism, our reality and our everyday life.
My wish is to allow the 'Tales' to take us by the hand and guide us in a journey from 'dream to reality'!
