Stresa EARlab 2006 - 1st edition PDF Print E-mail

Stresa EARlab 2006 - Workshop of musical invention, held by M° Luca Francesconi, open to all composers and musicians of all nationalities and no older than 35 on 27th August 2006 will be held in Stresa from 28 August to 8 September 2006. Selected composers will be required to compose new works to conclude within the period of STRESA EARLab, as well as two cadences for classical Concerts for piano and orchestra.
On 3 September, in the official planning of 2006 Stresa Festival, at Stresa Congress Hall two concerts held by the Orchestra dell'Accademia in collaboration with Noseda's Orchestral Conducting Masterclass are foreseen to perform compositions elaborated during STRESA EARLab.
At 5.00 p.m. an original composition of brief duration and the cadence (both elaborated during STRESA EARLab) for the Piano concerto KV 491 by W.A. Mozart, with the young Italian pianist Alice Severi.
At 9.00 p.m. the cadence for the Piano concerto KV 503 by W.A. Mozart with Daniele Petralia at the piano, elaborated during STRESA EARLab, will complete the programme which will be announced at the end of Noseda's masterclass.
On 8 September, once again in the official planning of Settimane Musicali di Stresa 2006 and once again in collaboration with Noseda's Orchestral Conducting Masterclass, at Villa Ponti in Arona BIT20 Ensemble will perform six original compositions, results of Francesconi's Workshop.
