Admitted candidates and course development

Open to candidates no older than 30 on May 2, 2011, the aim of the Workshop is the creation of the set designs for Gaetano Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, which will be used at the Stresa Congress Hall for the opera performance on August 25, 2011.
The candidates will be selected following their abilities; an artistic degree, experiences of stagehand and/or stagecraft, manual dexterity are preferential requirement.
Lessons will be held (in Italian language) in Stresa (VB) for four weeks from May 2 to 27, 2011, Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m..
The students who will gain the highest distinction will be offered a paid training during the 2011 Stresa Festival.

Admission procedure

Application forms must be sent to the Segreteria dell’Associazione Settimane Musicali di Stresa, Via Carducci, 38 – 28838 Stresa (VB) – Italy, by and no later than April 1, 2011, including the following data:
-    first name and last name
-    place and date of birth
-    nationality
-    two recent photographs
-    home address, phone numbers, e-mail address
-    curriculum vitae in Italian or English
-    certificate of participation in artistic training courses.

The selected candidates will be notified within April 15, 2011.

Admission fee

The participation is free. The Academy will cover the accommodation expenses.
Travel expenses and meals must be paid by the students.
