The Orchestral Conducting Masterclass, held by M° Gianandrea Noseda, is open to young conductors of all nationalities and no older than 30 on 27th August 2006. The Orchestra dell'Accademia will be involved in the Masterclass, which will take place in Stresa from 28 August to 3 September 2006.
The active students who will gain the highest distinction will conduct two concerts at Stresa Congress Hall on 3 September, in the context of the 45th edition of the 'Stresa Festival'.
At 5.00 p.m. an original composition of brief duration and the cadence (both elaborated during STRESA EARLab) for the Piano concerto KV 491 by W.A. Mozart, with the young Italian pianist Alice Severi.
At 9.00 p.m. the cadence for the Piano concerto KV 503 by W.A. Mozart with Daniele Petralia at the piano, elaborated during STRESA EARLab, will complete the programme which will be announced at the end of Noseda's masterclass.
One of the students with high distinction will be chosen to collaborate with BIT20 Ensemble for preparing and conducting a concert on 8 September, featuring new compositions elaborated during the Workshop STRESA EarLab.
