CoinThe French cellist Christophe Coin started studying with Jacques Ripoche in Caen, where he was born, then in Paris with André Navarra. After a period as a pupil of Jordi Savall he played in the Hesperion XX ensemble for several years. Christophe Coin regularly conducts and performs as a soloist, with ancient or modern instruments, with groups like the Concentus Musicus Wien, Academy of Ancient Music, Il Giardino Armonico, Orchestra del Settecento, and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. He founded the Quatuor Mosaïques and has been music director of the Ensemble Baroque de Limoges for more than twenty years. Christophe Coin teaches at CNSM in Paris and the Schola Cantorum in Basel.​
