muzek.jpgTomislav Mužek was born in Siegen (Germania) on 1976 from Croatian family. He studied at the University of Music of Wien from 1994 and 2000 with Helene Karusso. With Robert Stoll did studies of Oratorio and Lied. He had also lessons from Marianne Spiecker-Henke, Ernesto Palacio e William Jones. In 1999 he won the First Prize at “Ferruccio Tagliavini” Competition, Osterreich.
During 1999/2000 he was at the Wien Staatsoper di Vienna like a resident artist, he sang also at Teatro Comunale di Bologna Petite messe solennelle. During 2000/02 he became a resident artist of the Bremen Theater.
In November 2002 he did a big success at the Bayerische Staatsoper of Munich as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, he sang also Rossini’s Stabat Mater in Messico and Händel’s Saul at Ruhrtriennale (Dortmund, Bothum, Wuppertal), L’Olandese volante at Bayreuth’s Festival, Die Zauberflöte in Berlin, Moïse et Pharaon opening the season of Teatro alla Scala conducted by Riccardo Muti. Following this he sang Don Giovanni, in Toulouse  Puccini’s Messa di Gloria, La traviata in Wienn, Die Zauberflöte in Berlin, The flying Dutchman at  Bayreuth Festival, Così fan tutte in Florence.
He sang also Così fan tutte at Teatro Carlo Felice of Genoa, La bohème in Munich, Lucia di Lamermoor in Split, Händel’s Rinaldo at Teatro alla Scala, recorded Die Zauberflöte in Budapest, The flying Dutchman in Bayreuth, Oneghin in Split, Die Zauberflöte in Berlin and in Zürich, Così fan tutte at Capitole of Toulouse, Die Zauberflöte in Zürich, Così fan tutte in Genève, Reinghold at Munich, L’elisir d’amore, Rosenkavalier and Salomé at the Opera of Paris, La bohème, La traviata and L’elisir d’amore in Hamburg, Die Zauberflöte at Festival Mozart of La Coruña, Missa Sollennis in Berlin and Salzburg. Rossini’s Stabat Mater in Florence, Beethoven’s IX Symphony in Liverpool, Don Giovanni in Dresden, Faust in Split.
He performed at Stresa Festival in 2000, 2004 and 2006.
