After had completed the studies of violin, Monica Piccinini
started the studies of singing, at first with singing-master Franca Mattiucci,
then with Elena Kriachko she get the degree in singing with the highest marks.
She attended perfecting courses in baroque vocalism with
Claudio Cavina and with Rossana Bertini, and courses about the Lied and the
vocal musica of the 20th century with Eric Werba and Doroty Dorow.
In particolar she has studied in depth the interpretation
anf the style of the vocal music of the 17th anf 18th century she is a valued
interpreter of this style, from the first baroque to the “cantastico”,
oratorial and operatic repertoire.
Monica Piccinini is regularly invited to sing with
prestigious ensembles and orchestras as: Hesperion XXI and La Capella Reial de
Catalunya, Concerto Italiano, Accademia
Bizantina, Europa Galante, La
Petite Bande, Ensemble Dolce & Tempesta, Ensemblr Aurora,
Le Parlamente de Musique, Al Ayre Espanol, the Bayerische Rundfunk Orchestra,
Orquesta Barrica de Sevilla, Orquesta Barrica de la Universitad de
Salamanca; she collaborates with the chamber ensembles Tripla Concordia, Gli
Affetti Musicali, Cappella Artemisia, and also performes with her own ensemble
Armonica Lira.
Monica Piccinini sung under the direction of J.Savall,
R.Alessandrini, O.Dantone, F.Biondi, S.Demichel, E. Gatti, W.and S.Kuijen,
M.Gester, F.M.Bressan, E.Lopez-Bando, in european theaters and festivals among
the most prestigious: Teatro Real of Madrid, Cité de la Musique at Paris,
Concertgebouw of Asterdam, Konzerthaus and Musikverein of Vienna, Auditorio
Nacional de España, Accademia of S. Cecilia. Teatro Regio of Torino, Fiandre
Festival, etc.

Symphonia, Dynamic, Fuga Libera.
