Marco Berrini is a choir conductor, an orchestra conductor, a teacher and he has also studied musicology. Winner of important choral national and international competitions, he was finalist in the first edition of the International Competition for Choir Conductors “Mariele Ventre” of Bologna (2001) and he won the third prize ex-equo.
From 1989 to 1992 he has been assistant to the Choir Master of the Coro da Camera della Rai di Roma, with which he has released several recordings.
He is artistic director and conductor of the Ars Cantica Choir & Consort and of the professional Vocal Quartet “S. Tecla” of Milan Cathedral; he has founded and he conducts the Chamber Choir of the Conservatory “Antonio Vivaldi” in Alessandria
He has conducted in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, Argentina, United Arab Emirates.
He has been invited as Guest Conductor of the Juvenile Choir of Argentina (Co.Na.Jo.) and of the Choir of the Teatro Municipal in Cordoba (Argentina). He works as guest conductor with the Opera Theatre in Malaga (Spain) and with the Choir of the Teatro de La Maestranza in Siviglia (Spain).
He has been editor of the publications on vocal music for the publishers Suvini Zerboni, Carrara, Rugginenti, Discantica, Bmm, Carish.
He is regularly invited in the juries of choral national and international competitions, as well as for singers and conductors’ masterclasses in Italy and abroad.
From 2009 Marco Berrini is the Artistic Director of Milan Choral Academy, dedicated to international masterclasses for choir conductors and singers.
He teaches choral practice at the Conservatory in Alessandria.
He performed at Stresa Festival in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
