BerriniMarco Berrini is a choir conductor, an orchestra conductor, a teacher and he has also studied musicology. Winner of important choral national and international competitions, he was finalist in the first edition of the International Competition for Choir Conductors “Mariele Ventre” of Bologna (2001) and he won the 3rd prize ex-equo.
From 1989 to 1992 he has been assistant to the Choir Master of the Coro da Camera della Rai di Roma, with which he has released several recordings.
He is artistic director and conductor of the Ars Cantica Choir & Consort and of the professional Vocal Quartet “S. Tecla” of Milan Cathedral; he has founded and hw conducts the Chamber Choir of the Conservatory “Antonio Vivaldi” in Alessandria.
He has conducted in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Israel and Argentina.He has been invited as Guest Conductor of the Juvenile Choir of Argentina (Co.Na.Jo.) and of the Choir of the Teatro Municipal in Cordoba (Argentina). He works as guest conductor with the Opera Theatre in Malaga (Spain) and with the Choir of the Teatro de La Maestranza in Siviglia (Spain).He has been editor of the publications on vocal music for the publishers Suvini Zerboni, Carrara, Rugginenti, Discantica, Bmm.He is regularly invited in the juries of choral national and international competitions, as well as for singers and conductors' masterclasses in Italy and abroad.He is member of the Technical and Artistic Commission of the Associazione Regionale Cori della Valle d'Aosta (A.R.CO.VA).He teaches choral practice at the Conservatory in Alessandria.
He performed at Stresa Festival in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
