Experimenting, research, collaboration with composers, concerts, musical theatre, classical, acoustic, electric guitars, arch lute, Chinese p’i’p’a’, electronic instruments, multimedia, the use of technological prototypes, referring in several languages, unpublished, borderline.
These are the elements and the surroundings in which one meets Elena Càsoli, an interpreter of new inventions for her instruments.
She is the guest of international European, American and Japanese festivals, both as a soloist (Australia-Melbourne Festival, Hamburg Festspiel, Saitenfestival Bern, Prague Premieres, Biennale Venezia, Dresdner Musikfestspiel, MilanoMusica), with symphony orchestras (Mahler Chamber Orchestra, RAI National Orchestra, Camerata Bern), in duo with Jürgen Ruck (Magnus Haus Berlin, Münster Festival), in collaboration with an ensemble (Divertimento Ensemble, Ensemble Modern, Sentieri Selvaggi) and in the study of musical information systems (Agon-Milano, Akademie der Künste-Berlin, Dist/Genova).
She has cut records for RivoAlto (Giuliani), Dabringhaus&Grimm (Henze), Larecords, Bmg Ricordi (Guarnieri), Victor Japan (Pisati Zone-Tarkus), Col Legno, Velut Luna (Campogrande), Stradivarius (StrongStrangesStrings, Changes-Chances, Kurtàg) and Hkb (Hespos).

She has produced videos and Dvd with Vortice/Spi-Di Capua (Reich, Pisati, Tadini), Gog/Dist Genova (Ricchetti, Else/Limen, Al Gran Sole-Leprino (Un Gioco Ardito D. Scarlatti/Pisati, documentary films Le Corde di Elena), LimenMusic (Morricone, Bussotti).
She has also joined Ruggero Chiesa and Oscar Ghiglia.
Since 2002 she teaches Guitar and Novel Music Interpretation at the Hochschule der Künste in Berne and holds masterclasses both in Italy and overseas.
