Claudio Paradiso was born in Rome in 1960. After having attended the classical high school, in 1980 he got the Diploma in Flute at “Santa Cecilia” Academy of Music under the supervision of Angelo Persichili. In 1983, Paradiso got the Academic Diploma by the Bologna Philharmonic Academy, and the following year, after having attended the class of Peter-Lukas Graf, he got the Solisten-Diplom at Basilea MusikAkademie. In 1988, he attended the Chamber Music course of Riccardo Brengola at National Academy “Santa Cecilia” of Rome and got the Academic Diploma. Paradiso achieved further specializations in Flute under the supervision of Andrè Jaunet, Conrad Klemm, Gerardo Levy and Giorgio Zagnoni, and in Chamber Music under the supervision of Bruno Canino, Cesare Ferraresi e Rocco Filippini. As conductor, since 1998 he has been supervised by Carlo Maria Giulini. Since 1973, Paradiso has been intensely involved in concert activity performing both as soloist with orchestras and as member of numerous chamber ensembles; since 1986 he has played first part in Orchestra Sinfonica di Piacenza, Orchestra della RAI di Napoli “Alessandro Scarlatti”, Orchestre Symphonique de Fribourg, and Orchestra Sinfonica Italiana. He recorded for labels Amadeus, EdiPan, Edizioni De Santis, EMI-Academie de Musique de Sion (directed by Tibor Varga), The Classic Voice, and collaborated with All India Radio, Canale 5, Radio del la Suisse Romande, Radiotelevisione Italiana, RadioTre, Radio Vaticana, Suddeutche Rundfunk and UER-Unione Europea di Radiodiffusione. Since 1990 Paradiso has been founders and conductor of I Fiati di Parma, the Italian wind chamber orchestra which performed in whole Italy and several European countries. As director, after having collaborated with several Italian orchestras, he performs regularly with chamber orchestra Aretusa of Siracusa. Claudio Paradiso is currently full Professor in the F. Morlacchi Academy of Music of Perugia.
