marianelli.jpg Born in 1986, Alessandra Marianelli begins to study in 2000 with soprano Maria Billeri and repertoire with Pieralba Soroga. She studies also at Conservatorio 'P. Mascagni' of Livorno. In 2001 won the second prize at the international competition 'Cascinalirica'.
Her debut in theatre was in 2002 as Barbarina in Mozart≠s Nozze di Figaro at Verdi Theatre of Pisa, Politeama Pratese and Teatro dei Rinnovati of Siena. In 2003 she sang Bacchide in Belle Hélène of Jacques Offenbach at Verdi of Pisa and Giglio of Lucca. During the 2003 concert season of the Camerata Strumentale 'Città di Prato' she sang the Mozart's Messa in Do Minore K. 427 and Mendelssohn's Sogno di una notte di mezza estate, in Florence she sang also this score with the Orchestra Regionale Toscana.
With 'CittàLirica Opera Studio' she sang Tytania in Britten≠s Midsummer Night's Dream at Verdi of Pisa, Giglio of Lucca and Goldoni of Livorno. In april 2004 she sang in Florence, Pisa and Empoli the Faure's Requiem at Politeama Pratese and Anitra/Solveig in Grieg's Peer Gynt with the Orchestra Regionale Toscana. In June 2004 won the second prize at the 'Spiros Argiris' Competition. In September obtained a great success singing La serva padrona at Jesi Festival.
She sang in Parsifal at Carlo Felice of Genoa (opening the season 2004/05), the Mass in C Major of Mozart in Siena, Don Carlos in Florence, conducted by Zubin Mehta, La serva padrona in Lugo di Romagna, Mozart's Messa in Do Maggiore with the Orchestra Regionale Toscana in Florence and in other cities in Tuscany, La Sonnambula in Bilbao, Nozze di Figaro and Beethoven's IX Symphony at Stresa's Festival, Serva padrona at Comunale of Bologna, Gianni Schicchi in Jesi and Fermo, Don Giovanni at Rome's Opera, Filarmonico of Verona and Reggio Emilia, after this L'incoronazione di Poppea at festival Mozart of La Coruña.
Next engagements are Falstaff at La Monnaie of Bruxelles, Pisa, Livorno, Lucca, Ravenna and Regio di Torino, Zauberfölte and Mozart's Requiem at Stresa Festival, Nozze di Figaro at Aix en Provence Festival, Orfeo and Ballo in maschera at Teatro Real of Madrid.
