With the work tre forme: linea-cerchio-ettagono, per orchestra, Andrea Portera is the winner of the Fourth International Composition Competition“Settimane Musicali di Stresa” - 2009.
The International Jury, formed by Ivan Fedele, Gianandrea Noseda, Philipp Hurel (France), Ramon Lazkano (Spain) and John Casken (UK), decided to award the Price among the several scores arrived from all over the world (America, Australia, Japan, besides Europe and, obviously, Italy).
The winning work was performed during the 48th edition of the Stresa Festival.
The score was executed by the BBC Philharmonic conducted by Gianandrea Noseda on September 3 at Stresa Congress Hall, together with Haydn's Symphony no. 45 and no. 80 and with Mozart's Clarinet concerto performed by the young taleted English soloist Julian Bliss.
