2007 Composition Competition Print

Hiroshi Nakamura and Luca Vago are the winners of the Third International Composition Competition 'Settimane Musicali di Stresa' - 2007.

giuria2007.jpgThe International Jury, formed by the President Ivan Fedele, the Artistic Director Gianandrea Noseda, Zygmunt Krauze (Poland), Laszlo Sary (Hungary) and Michel Tabachnik (Switzerland), decided to award the Prices among the fifty-seven scores from all over the world. The Price for Schubert's six Lieder orchestration went to Luca Vago; Hiroshi Nakamura is the author of Song of Samsara - vision of metempsychosis, winning composition.

The winning scores were performed during the Stresa Festival 46th edition.

vago_concorso.jpg Luca Vago's orchestratrion was executed on August 20 at Stresa Congress Hall by the Orchestra delle Settimane Musicali di Stresa conducted by Gianandrea Noseda; the Lieder were performed by the soprano Barbara Frittoli.

naka_conc07.jpgSong of Samsara - vision of metempsychosis were inserted, together with Stravinsky's Apollon Musagète and with Peter and the wolf, Michele Placido narrator, in the concert entitled 'Fables in music' on August 22 agosto at Stresa Congress Hall. Gianandrea Noseda conducted the Festival Orchestra.
The score will be published by Rai Trade Edizioni Musicali.
