STRESA EARlab 2008 - New instrumental practice of 21st Century music


The masterclass will be held by Irvine Arditti and is addressed to all the interested composers and violinists. The program will focus on analysis, reading and workshop performance of the selected students’s pieces.

A maximum of six participating students will be admitted, with no age or nationality restrictions. Listeners will be accepted.
Lessons will be held in Stresa (VB) and will last three days, from September 2 to 4, 2008.
Application forms will have to reach this address by April 30, 2008

Candidates can send, at their own discretion, documents attesting their qualifications (certificates of participation in masterclasses and competitions; letters of reference by important musicians; tapes and videos testifying to their experience).
Selected candidates will be notified by May 15, 2008.
The students' classes are free. Travelling and accommodation expenses are not included, and will be at the students’ charge.
Special working facilities will be provided for during the course.
