From August 31 to September 2, 2011, for the Stresa Music Academy courses, the Masterclass on  Improvisation was held at the Congressi Hall, pianist Enrico Pieranunzi teacher.

The course aim was improvisation in jazz music: the improvisational process, extemporaneous creation of musical forms, how to improvise on the main jazz forms.

The six students from the Masterclass (Michele Caiati, Fabio Capponi, Riccardo Chiaberta, Michele Guaglio, Alessandro Manni Villa, Dario Trapani) performed on September 2 at Stresa Congress Hall in a concert of Stresa Festival 2011, together with the Enrico Pieranunzi Trio.

The Masterclass on Improvisation 2011 was realized with the support of Fondazione Comunitaria del VCO.

The proceeds of the evening were devoted to the “Fondo a tutela dell’infanzia” (fund for helping children) of the Fondazione.
