The Associazione Settimane Musicali di Stresa - Festival Internazionale is
organising the
PIANO MASTERCLASS - 2007
The Masterclass will be given by Maestro Andrea Lucchesini. A maximum 6 active
students, of all nationalities and ages, will be admitted. The course will be
opened also to a group of listener students.
Lessons will be held in Stresa (VB) from 24th to 26th August 2007.
The active students who will gain the highest distinction will perform in a
concert on 27th August in the context of the 46th edition of the Stresa Festival.
Furthermore, one of them will be chosen to perform, on 1st September 2007, a
new composition for piano and small ensemble, elaborated during STRESA Earlab
with the supervision of Maestro Luca Francesconi.
All accommodation expenses from 27th August to 1st September will be paid by
the Organisation.
Application forms must be sent to the Segreteria of the Associazione Settimane
Musicali di Stresa, Via Carducci, 38 - 28838 Stresa (VB) - Italy, by and no
later than 31st May 2007 including the following data:

receipt of the payment of € 50,00 (fifty/00), enrolment fee, which
can be made on postal account no. IT64D0760110100000017243288 or by national
or international postal order.
Candidates can send, to their own personal discretion, documents which prove
their qualifications (certificates of participation in masterclasses and competitions;
letters of reference by important musicians; tapes and videos testifying their
experience).
The enrolment fee will be refunded only in the event the Course will not take
place.
The 6 selected candidates will be notified by 15th June 2007 and will receive
copy of the new composition for piano and small ensemble by 1st August 2007.
The active students will pay € 300,00 (three hundred/00). The listener
students will pay € 100,00 (one hundred/00). Travelling and accommodation
expenses must be paid by the student. Special conditions for hotel accommodation
are foreseen.
The Course programme will be: Interpretation and performing of the Sonatas
for Piano by Ludwig van Beethoven.
