Pasqualetti Francesco Pasqualetti studies Orchestral Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music, London with Colin Davis and Colin Metters, at the Accademia Chigiana with Gianluigi Gelmetti and at the Accademia Musicale di Stresa with Gianandrea Noseda. Maestro Noseda invited Francesco to conduct Rachmaninoff’s Second Symphony with the BBC Philharmonic in Manchester and in 2009 Colin Davis invited him onto the podium of the London Symphony Orchestra to conduct Brahms Third Symphony during the LSO Discovery Scheme.
Francesco Pasqualetti has conducted the Orchestra of Teatro Regio di Torino several times, the Orchestra della Toscana, the RNCM Symphony Orchestra-Manchester, the I Virtuosi del Teatro alla Scala, performing with soloists like Boris Belkin and Bruno Canino.
Pasqualetti worked as an assistant to Gianluigi Gelmetti, Gianandrea Noseda, Colin Davis and Trevor Pinnock at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, at the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Opéra de Monte Carlo, at the Stresa Festival and the Royal Academy Opera.
In 2010 Francesco Pasqualetti was appointed visiting professor at the National Opera Studio, London, for the Italian operatic repertoire. Forthcoming engagements include the double bill Zanetto and Mozart e Salieri at the Teatro di Livorno, Italiana in Algeri at the Teatro di Como AsLiCo, Nozze di Figaro at the Teatro di Pisa, Il Matrimonio Segreto at the Teatro Regio in Torino, and symphony concerts in Italy and abroad. In summer 2013 Francesco Pasqualetti will serve as assistant and cover conductor for Gianandrea Noseda’s new production of Rigoletto at the Aix-en-Provence Festival with the London Symphony Orchestra.
He holds the Diploma d’onore from Accademia Chigiana and earned a Summa cum Laude Master Degree in Philosophy at Pisa University.
