Born in Pamplona, Raquel Andueza begins her musical education at the age of six in the Niños Cantores de Navarra church choir. At the age of eight she begins her studies of solfeggio and violin and when fourteen those of singing, all of them in the Higher Conservatoire of Music Paul Sarasate of Pamplona. With a scholarship of the Government of Navarre and the City Council of London, she broadened her studies in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama of London, where in 2000 she obtains the Bachelor of Music with honorific mention and receives the School Singing Prize, in recognition of her academic achievements. She attends magisterial classes of Emma Kirkby, Graham Johnson, David Mason, Nancy Argenta, Sarah Walker, etc. In 2000 she meets Richard Levitt, who has been her teacher up to the present. She collaborates assiduously with different ensembles: El concierto Español, Baroque Orchestra of Seville, Lyra Baroque Orchestra of Minneapolis, Al Ayre Español, Vaghi Concenti, Academy of Ancient Music of Salamanca University, More Hispano, Armoniosi Concerti, Los Músicos del Buen Retiro, etc.. Founding member of the vocal quintet La Trulla de Bozes, where she remains until 2003, obtaining with them the first prize in the XXVI Festival Van Vlaanderen of Bruges in 2000, as well as the I Young Artists’ Presentation of the International Music Festival of Antwerp. In 2003 she became a member of the vocal quartet La Colombina and in the same year she forms a duo with the theorboist Jesús Fernández. From 2004 onwards she sings with the group Orphénica Lyra directed by José Miguel Moreno. She acts as soloist in the main festivals and audiences of the whole Europe. She has been conducted by William Christie, Luis Antonio González Marín, Fabio Biondi, Emilio Moreno, Jacques Ogg, Monica Huggett, Ernest Martínez-Izquierdo, David Guindano, Bernardo García-Bernalt, Christian Curnyn, Eduardo López-Banzo, Sir Colin Davis, etc.. She has realized recordings for French, Belgian, German, Swiss and Spanish radio chains, and also for the labels Glossa, Verso, K617 and Harmonia Mundi.
