The Ensemble Gilles Binchois, that celebrates this year its thirtieth anniversary of activity, has went through, starting from its foundation, the vast repertoire of the Middle Ages and at the same time the repertoire of the vocal Renaissance music.

The work of these artists – chosen among a few dozen of musicians, French and foreigners, belonging to this uninterrupted adventure in music – develops with great respect for character and musical personality, and confers to the group’s way of proceeding an originality that distinguishes them in the landscape of ensembles specialized in European ancient music. Thanks to their rigorous work and to the enthusiasm in their interpretations, this ensemble has been a leading element for the success of their repertoires in the past two decades. The group has obtained from its public, from medias, from musicologists the recognition that has made their productions a significant model among musicians.

The Ensemble Gilles Binchois plays regularly in all Europe, from Estonia to Spain, from Scotland to Ukraine, and also in India, in Malaysia, in the United States, in South America and has released forty Cds.
