Dindo11At the age of six Enrico Dindo began studying cello he perfected his studies with Egidio Roveda and with Antonio Janigro.
In 1997 he won the First Prize at “Rostropovich” Competition in Paris. Since then, he began the soloist activity performing in many countries, with prestigious Orchestras such as Bbc Philharmonic Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai, Orchestra dell’Accademia di Santa Cecilia, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, State Orchestra of São Paulo, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He also performed with important Conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, Aldo Ceccato, Gianandrea Noseda, Myung-Whun Chung, Daniele Gatti, Paavo Jarvi, Valery Gergiev, Riccardo Muti as well as Mstislav Rostropovich.
He was guest in numerous Festivals and Concert halls of the whole world among which London (Wigmore Hall), Paris Evian, Montpellier, Santiago de Compostela, participating at the Budapest “Spring Festival” and at the White Nights Festival in St. Petersburg; he was also invited at the Dubrovnik Festival and by Gidon Kremer at the Lockenhaus Festival.
Among the authors that composed music dedicated to him there are Giulio Castagnoli, Carlo Boccadoro, Carlo Galante and Roberto Molinelli.
Among his recent engagements we remind a very successful tour with the Gewandhaus Orchester conducted by Riccardo Chailly in September 2010 and his debut with the Hessische Rundunfunk in November 2010.
Enrico Dindo records for Decca: in 2011 it has been issued the Bach Suites cycle and in Autumn 2011 Chandos will released the two Shostakovich Cello Concertos, with Danish National Orchestra and Gianandrea Noseda.
Enrico Dindo plays the Pietro Giacomo Rogeri cello of 1717 (ex Piatti), confided to him by the Pro Canale Foundation.
He performed at Stresa Festival in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2007.
