Soloistic emanation of the Ars Cantica Choir, the Ars Cantica Consort is an ensemble specialized in the performance of chamber choral music, a cappella and with orchestra. The Ars Cantica Consort is a professional vocal ensemble, that has sung in several festivals and concert seasons in Italy and abroad such as the International W.A. Mozart Festival in Rovereto, the International Chor Forum in Alzenau, Germany, the series Settimane Bach (XV appointment) organized by the Società del Quartetto in collaboration with the City of Milano, presenting a new monographical program dedicated to J.C. Bach, the prestigious series Musica e poesia in S. Maurizio, and the Teatro Bellini in Catania.
The Consort has sung in the Festival Musica e cinema: immagini e suggestioni sonore (Aosta, 1999), sonorizing with a live performance the projection of two shorts. The soundtrack was composed, for vocal sextet and percussion instruments, by Paolo Manfrin.
Ars Cantica Consort has released the recording of the complete Salmi Suavissimi et Devotissimi a 5 of Vincenzo Ruffo (Dejavu Retro Gold, R2CD, First recording).
In Arezzo, in August 2003, Ars Cantica Consort, as part of Ars Cantica Choir, has won the First Overall Prize in the 20th National Choral Competition 'Guido d'Arezzo', the First Overall Prize at the 51st Choral International Competition 'Guido d'Arezzo', and the Grand Prize 'Città di Arezzo' during the 51st Choral International Competition 'Guido d'Arezzo'.
Since foundation, the Consort has been conducted by Marco Berrini.
