carbonare.jpgGraduated with a performer’s degree for clarinet, Alessandro Carbonare ranks among the world’s most distinguished clarinet players.
Since 2003 he is the Principal Clarinetist of the Santa Cecilia Orchestra in Rome. For 15 years he lived in France where he performed as Principal Clarinet for the Orchestre National de France and, formerly, at the Orchestre National de l’Opera de Lyon.
He has been awarded several national and international prizes, in particular, Geneva, Prague, Toulon, Duino, Munich and Paris. In fact he is one of the most awarded clarinet player of international competitions worldwide.
He performed live and has been broadcasted in Europe, North and South America, Australia and Asia. His concerto appearances include the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Orchestra National of Spain, the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bayerischer Rundfunk Munich, the Wien Sinfonietta, the Berlin Radio Orchestra, and many others orchestras. As Principal Clarinet, he performed with the Berliner Philharmoniker as well.
Alessandro Carbonare's several recordings are mainly released by Harmonia Mundi, Agorà, Velut Luna and JVC Victor Tokio. He gives masterclasses all over the world (e.g. Superior Conservatory of Paris, Musikhochschule of Munich, Julliard School of New York, Arts University of Tokyo and Harvard University).
Claudio Abbado personally invited him to integrate his Mozart Orchestra, under his direction Mr. Carbonare had the honour of performing Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto K. 622.
He performed at Stresa Festival, with Quintetto Bibiena, in 2002 and 2007.
